Barfoot&Thompson — International Property Awards 2018 to present time

Our challenge

To create high end packaging for a global award entry, achieving prestige and impact while staying within strict size and weight restrictions.

The journey

We undertook a highly collaborative approach with client and suppliers. A variety of substrates and techniques were investigated including buckram cloth, flatbed printing, Digicut high density foam, leather books, foiling. The solution – a box within a box featuring exposed printed external graphics, a hinged lid, internal foam housing and leather booklets. Extensive proofing meant approvals were based on actual samples, and test printing ensured that the size was a perfect fit for its contents.

Points of pride

Dedicated project management and the creation of a beautifully finished product, within budget, specification and deadline.

Cherry on the cake

Barfoot&Thompson won Global Real Estate Agency of the Year as well as numerous individual category winners.

”Working with Bound To Last is always a seamless and effortless experience. We have worked together on the past four years of submissions, it has become a relationship built on trust and the knowledge that we can always expect nothing but the best quality and finish on time and on budget.”

Rory Birk - Studio Manager, Barfoot&Thompson

Samples and finishes were prepared for approval and proofing, ensuring nothing was left to chance.

Points of pride

Instilling confidence by ticking every box, carefully managing the project and delivering a high quality outcome, on spec, within deadline.

Cherry on the cake

This presentation was the winning submission; the client won the tender, standing out with excellence in a highly competitive pitch process.

SkyCity’s Masu – Bespoke Menus

Our challenge

To create a sensory set of bespoke leather menus, incorporating specific colour and finishing requirements.

The journey

The client had a specific ‘look and feel’ in mind; we set about achieving this without compromise, working with multiple suppliers to create a unified end result. Customisation was key. Bespoke leather, custom die colouring, laser etching and tailored corner, eyelet and elastic construction combine to create a rich, tangible final effect for the series.

Points of pride

Delivery of a fully customized menu solution that adds value to the SkyCity brand and offers a memorable touchpoint for guests.

“Quality product and service. 100% client focused professionals delivering specific detailed requirements through continuous trial”

KPMG - Bespoke Personalized Partner Journals

Our challenge

To create and produce a series of high-end personalized leather journals for each KPMG partner, and subsequent joining partners

The journey

The client tasked us with management of the full project including presentation of leather substrate to match the brief, consultation with a variety of finishing and binding options, sourcing complimentary paper stock and print quality options and foiling and personalization of covers and internals. Delivery was via a series of mock up samples, test proofs and design consultation to achieve the final successful result.

Points of pride

The finished journals were so well received that a further journal was commissioned for KPMG’s Global Chairperson.
